The Highland Hall Hawks lost against the San Fernando Valley Academy Huskies on January 9th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Highland Hall took a hard 52-38 fall against San Fernando Valley Academy. Highland Hall has struggled against San Fernando Valley Academy recently, as their game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
San Fernando Valley Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Herrera, who scored nine points along with 16 rebounds and five steals. Herrera hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Xzavier Herrera, who scored six points along with six steals and five assists.
Highland Hall now has a losing record at 2-3. As for San Fernando Valley Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Westmark the next time they take the court. Highland Hall will host Westmark at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while San Fernando Valley Academy will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
