Cheyenne Mountain has gone a perfect 10-0 against Air Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Red-Tailed Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Kadets at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Cheyenne Mountain took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Discovery Canyon by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Red-Tailed Hawks in their matchups with the Thunder: they've now won seven in a row.
Cheyenne Mountain was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 17-25, 25-16, 25-21.

Cheyenne Mountain's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jera Rodriguez, who had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Rodriguez has posted over her last four contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynn Ressler, who had ten digs and three assists.
They weren't the only good servers: Cheyenne Mountain was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Discovery Canyon only served eight.
Meanwhile, Air Academy earned a 2-0 win over Pueblo East on Saturday.
Cheyenne Mountain better focus on containing Shelbe Lyons and Audrey Husemann as the pair were huge in Air Academy's win. Lyons had 13 digs and one assist, while Husemann had eight assists and five digs. Sophia McNab also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Cheyenne Mountain's record now sits at 9-6. As for Air Academy, their record is now 10-5.
Cheyenne Mountain took their victory against Air Academy in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red-Tailed Hawks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
