Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Bennington). They put the hurt on the Omaha Northwest Huskies with a sharp  23-1 win on Monday. The  victory was familiar territory for the Badgers, who have now won five  contests in a row.
 Jace Fitzgerald made a splash no matter where he played. He  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. Fitzgerald was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with three  RBI and one  triple. That  triple was  his first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Hunter Spencer was  incredible,  going 3-for-6 with eight  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. Those  eight  RBI gave  him a new career-high.  Mason Buechler was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs and two  RBI.
 Bennington was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Omaha Northwest only posted a  batting average of  .158.
Bennington's record is now 20-3. As for Omaha Northwest, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bennington is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Norris  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Badgers 3, the Titans 3.3) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Omaha Northwest will  take on  rival Benson  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
