Destin had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 32-run drubbing they dealt Lighthouse Private Christian Academy on Thursday. The Destin Sharks were the clear victor by a 32-0 margin over the Lighthouse Private Christian Academy Stingrays. Considering the Sharks have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lyliana Kessler was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five runs, two triples, and five RBI.

In other batting news, Destin let Keelie Ellis and Anita Palmer run wild. Ellis went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and five RBI, while Palmer scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. That home run was Ellis' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Laurel Churchill, who scored four runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3.

Destin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .829. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Destin pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
