The Kellogg Panthers will be home for the holidays to greet the Black River Rats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-27, which was the final score in Kellogg's tilt against Constantine on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Black River had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 40-27 to Martin.
Kellogg bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Black River, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Things could have been worse for Kellogg, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-32 loss to Black River in their previous meeting back in February. Can Kellogg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
