The Ambassador Lions and the Big Bear Bears squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly the Ambassador Lions had to settle for second. They fell 76-63 to the Bears. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Big Bear was led to victory by Aiden Brewer and Ryder Dolan. Brewer dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds, while Dolan dropped a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dolan has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Rufner, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Ambassador has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which is still a better percentage than their 3-14 record this season. As for Big Bear, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-5.
Ambassador does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Big Bear, they will head out on the road to take on Beacon Hill at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Big Bear knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Beacon Hill likes a good challenge.
