Even though the Fremont Tigers scored an imposing 59 points on Thursday, the Lincoln Northeast Rockets still came out on top. Lincoln Northeast walked away with a 70-59 win over Fremont. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lincoln Northeast.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln Northeast to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mowafag Abdalla, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brecken Wilke, who scored 6 points along with 5 steals.
Fremont's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Coriahnn Gallatin, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 5 assists, and Maurice Bryant who scored 16 points along with 5 assists. Gallatin scored a full 44.1% of Fremont's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Lincoln Northeast now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fremont, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln Northeast will challenge Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fremont's road trip will continue as they head out to face Millard West at 7:15 p.m. on December 9th.
