Sayani Long Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Granite Hills's Sayani Long, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Long rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (101.6). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
This season, Long has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 101.6 rushing yards per game.

Nicholas Gaoa Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Barstow got the W thanks in part to Nicholas Gaoa playing the best football he has all season. Gaoa rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (115.8) per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Barstow pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Gaoa and Barstow will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Silverado at 7:30 p.m. on October 24th.

Big Game from Williams As Barstow Won 32-7
Keeping Gaoa company is Dwayne Williams, a fellow Barstow player. He rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 36 yards and two touchdowns.
Victor Valley's probably not too fond of Williams given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Williams saw the Jackrabbits), he rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Jace Weiss and Co. Win Fourth in a Row
Silverado picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jace Weiss. Weiss was unstoppable, throwing for 142 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 31 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Silverado's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-3. Weiss and Silverado will take on Adelanto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Vic Villa Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Vic Villa of Victor Valley. Villa's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.
With the defeat, Victor Valley broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-1. Villa will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Granite Hills on Friday.
