Ethan Meadows Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Tompkins was led to victory by Ethan Meadows, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Meadows rushed for 192 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (104.4) per game. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 64 yards.
Tompkins moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Meadows and Tompkins will head out to challenge Morton Ranch at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Justin Thierheimer Leads Tompkins over Mayde Creek
On Thursday, Tompkins got the W thanks in part to Justin Thierheimer playing the best football he has all season. Thierheimer threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes, and also rushed for 112 yards on only eight carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 62 yards.
For the season, Thierheimer has thrown 7 touchdowns while averaging 178.6 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 40 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 91.16 passer rating.

Zion Jones Has Career-Day on Friday
Jordan was led to victory by Zion Jones, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Jones rushed for 117 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 33 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The win for Jordan keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. They and Seven Lakes are set to duel on Friday.

Daylin Robinson Delivers Best Performance of Season
Sadly, Daylin Robinson posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Mayde Creek over Tompkins on Thursday. Robinson picked up 179 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 74 yards.
Mayde Creek is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3. Robinson and Mayde Creek will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Morton Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on October 17th.

Trey Williams Turns in Season-Best Performance
Sadly, Trey Williams posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Mayde Creek over Tompkins on Thursday. Williams threw for 311 yards and four touchdowns. The effort also marked the most rushing yards (27) he has had since back in October of 2023.
This season, Williams has thrown 5 touchdowns while averaging 63.2 passing yards per game.
