Memorial is 9-1 against Heritage since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Warriors will host the Coyotes at 5:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Memorial came up short against Centennial and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost four in a row.
Memorial started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-17, 25-13, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Memorial saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Valentina Elsen had ten digs and two aces. Elsen is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Heritage hadn't done well against Independence recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Coyotes won by a set and slipped past the Knights 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Coyotes have posted against the Knights since September 28, 2021.
Heritage took Independence into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-19, 25-12, 23-25, 15-10.
Heritage has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-12 record this season. As for Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-12.
Memorial beat Heritage 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Coyotes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
