Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Corinth). They blew past the Clarksdale Wildcats 16-1 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
McKinley Moore was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Moore was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Corinth got a big performance out of Chloe Sanders, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave Sanders a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maggie Parchman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Corinth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
