Two dominant backs in Daniel Lawton and Landon Dulmaine are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. After each having a week off, the Blackstone-Millville Chargers and the Sutton Sammies will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around on November 23rd.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for Blackstone-Millville, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against West Boylston/Tahanto on Friday, falling 43-7. Blackstone-Millville's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 44-14, which was the final score in Sutton's tilt against Millbury on Friday. Sutton has not had much luck with Millbury recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The losses dropped Blackstone-Millville to 8-2 and Sutton to 6-4.
Blackstone-Millville strolled past Sutton in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 by a score of 30-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blackstone-Millville since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
