Southwest Christian School has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Liberty Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southwest Christian School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 591st, while Liberty Christian is ranked 38th).
Southwest Christian School fell victim to All S's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 53-0 loss at the hands of the Saints. Southwest Christian School was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Meanwhile, Liberty Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past Midland Christian 46-0 on the road. Fans of Liberty Christian have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Liberty Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chase Garnett out in front who rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns. Garnett is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. Quinton Brown did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 114 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Liberty Christian's victory bumped their season record to 7-0 while Southwest Christian School's defeat dropped theirs to 5-2.
Southwest Christian School came up short against Liberty Christian when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 18-6. Thankfully for Southwest Christian School, Cade Harycki (who rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
