Tri County took down Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer 40-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Trojans led C2 District 2 in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on the Titans.
Kyle Laug and Jay Kuhns gave Johnson County Central a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Laug threw for 36 yards and one touchdown, while Kuhns ran for 120 yards. Teammate Seth Laver added to the ground attack by rushing for 59 yards.
Johnson County Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Thunderbirds feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Laug has thrown for 36 yards and one touchdown this season, while Kuhns has one catches for 20 yards. Kuhns leads the league in rushing with 337 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer takes on Southern. As it stands, Lin Volker's team is in fifth, while the Raiders are in first.
Southern made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,372 from 9,362. The improvement was the result of 24-6 victory over Palmyra last week.
