The Beekmantown Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Hadley Luzerne Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Beekmantown will be strutting in after a win while Hadley Luzerne will be coming in after a loss.
Beekmantown took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (and then some). They breezed by Ogdensburg Free Academy at home to the tune of 66-30. With Beekmantown ahead 29-9 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Josh Sand, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Miguel Herrera, who scored 9 points.
Meanwhile, Hadley Luzerne had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were the victim of a rough 75-50 loss at the hands of Greenwich. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hadley Luzerne in their matchups with Greenwich: they've now lost five in a row.
Beekmantown's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Hadley Luzerne, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
