D'Angelo Diaz posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Diaz's strong effort led Fountain Valley over Edison and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
