They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit 52-24 at home. For Detroit Cristo Rey, this counts as revenge for the 34-20 defeat the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2022.
Detroit Cristo Rey was led to victory by Jada Dunkin and Ericka Sheridan. Dunkin dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Sheridan scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Sheridan has scored at least a third of Detroit Cristo Rey's points.
Detroit Cristo Rey's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-5. As for Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
The two teams will face off at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the WOLVES at 6:30 p.m. Detroit Cristo Rey has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
