The Caledonia-Mumford Raiders pushed their score all the way to 59 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Warsaw. Caledonia-Mumford has not had much luck with Warsaw recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Donny Peet, who scored 20 points along with four steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Doll, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds.
Caledonia-Mumford's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-2. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Warsaw, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caledonia-Mumford will be home for the holidays to greet Mount Morris at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Warsaw will be home for the holidays to greet Wayland-Cohocton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
