The Bradshaw Christian The Pride will head out on the road to square off against the El Dorado Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bradshaw Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight games.
Bradshaw Christian pushed their score all the way to 70 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Union Mine 76-70. While losing is never fun, Bradshaw Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 476th, while Union Mine is ranked 173rd).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Josh O'neal, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Torres, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
El Dorado posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They skirted past Liberty Ranch 50-47. The win was just what El Dorado needed coming off of a 79-58 defeat in their prior matchup.
Bradshaw Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for El Dorado, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season.
Bradshaw Christian came up short against El Dorado when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 64-60. Can Bradshaw Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
