Basketball Recap: Academy at Palumbo Extends Winning Streak to Three

Academy at Palumbo extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Julius Pommells. The Academy at Palumbo Griffin took down the Sayre Sabres 60-45 on Wednesday thanks in part to Pommells, who posted 20 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Academy at Palumbo's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Sayre, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Academy at Palumbo won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Science Leadership Academy at Beeber at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Academy at Palumbo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season. As for Sayre, they and Strawberry Mansion will face off at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played.
