Teurlings Catholic had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Saturday. They put the hurt on the St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays with a sharp 12-3 victory. Considering the Rebels have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Jace Garber looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ryan Berard was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaden Chavis, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Teurlings Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Edmund only posted an OBP of .267.

Teurlings Catholic's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for St. Edmund, their loss dropped their record down to 16-15.

Coming up, Teurlings Catholic will face off against Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Wildcats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for St. Edmund, they will host Comeaux at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.68 runs per game on average), something the Fighting Blue Jays will no doubt try to take advantage of.
