The Mohonasen Warriors will face off against the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Ravens at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Mohonasen will be strutting in after a victory while Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk will be coming in after a loss.
Mohonasen took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Voorheesville a 5-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Blackbirds: they've now won six in a row.

Nic Quinlivan
Not much got past Nic Quinlivan, who gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Voorheesville off the board. Quinlivan also tossed no walks, which is notable because Mohonasen is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 3-4 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Shea Moore, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 13-3 to Cohoes.
Alex Halwick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Haydn Sorensen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Mohonasen pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Mohonasen has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Mohonasen came up short against Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 8-5. Will the Warriors have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
