The Brunswick Railroaders will head out on the road to face off against the Boonsboro Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brunswick comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
After a 65-45 finish the last time they played, Brunswick and Williamsport decided to play a little more cautiously this time around. The contest between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Brunswick falling 34-18.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Andie Welsh, who scored two points along with 11 rebounds and five blocks. Welsh is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Gabby Stefanic, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Boonsboro couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 42-27 fall against South Carroll last Thursday.
Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Boonsboro, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1.
Brunswick took their win against Boonsboro when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 59-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brunswick since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
