On Friday Clearwater take on Mulvane at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Clearwater, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Clearwater had to kick off their season on the road last Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They secured a 22-18 W over Rose Hill.
Meanwhile, Mulvane couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They might be aching after a bruising 14-42 defeat to Andale. Mulvane were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-21.
Clearwater's win lifted them to 1-0 while Mulvane's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Clearwater's success rolls on or if Mulvane are able to steal their positive momentum.
