It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Marionville Comets had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 38-7 win over the Indians on the road. The win was just business as usual for Marionville, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.
Marionville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cash Pomeroy out in front who rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Hugh Eaton also helped out as he racked up 121 rushing yards.
Marionville's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for St. Vincent, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.
Marionville will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against North Platte at 3:00 p.m. on December 1st. North Platte is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. St. Vincent does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
