Rivera is a perfect 3-0 against Donna since February of 2025 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Raiders will square off against the Redskins at 6:30 p.m. Rivera is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Things were looking good for Rivera after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Lopez by a score of 13-12. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Donna entered their tilt with Donna North on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Chiefs by a score of 9-6.
Camila Oviedo made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Oviedo was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Shelby Colunga was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had since back in February. Nayeli Gonzalez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Donna's record now sits at 10-14-1. As for Rivera, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13-1.
Donna's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Rivera has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Donna, though, as they've been averaging only 3.9 strikeouts. Will Rivera keep running through batters, or will the Redskins buck the trend?
Everything went Rivera's way against Donna in their previous matchup back in February, as Rivera made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
