The Harrison Wildcats suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Northwest by a score of 66-63. Harrison has struggled against Northwest recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Harrison's loss came despite strong showings from Luke Rogers and Tucker Ward. Rogers scored 26 points along with three steals, while Ward scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rogers has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Mckain, who scored eight points.
Harrison's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6. As for Northwest, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 8-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrison won't have much time to rest: their next game is against East Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 20th. As for Northwest, they will be playing at home against Goshen at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goshen is coming into the match hot, having won their last 13 games.
