Prout is 0-4 against St. Mary Academy-Bay View since May of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Crusaders will challenge the Bengals at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Prout has four straight wins, St. Mary Academy-Bay View has 15 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Prout is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 15-9 margin over Cumberland on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Crusaders considering their one-run performance the match before.
Lily Sheehan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up four earned (and five unearned) runs off nine hits. Sheehan was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

St. Raphael Academy hit St. Mary Academy-Bay View with a five-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bengals came up short against the Saints, falling 11-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Prout's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. St. Mary Academy-Bay View's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Prout hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .312. It's a different story for St. Mary Academy-Bay View, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain Prout's hitters?
Prout couldn't quite finish off St. Mary Academy-Bay View in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can the Crusaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
