McDonough was led to victory by Janique Trinidad and Jadah Rembert. Trinidad scored 20 points along with five rebounds, while Rembert scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Trinidad has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Zora Hill, who scored seven points along with five blocks.
McDonough is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season. As for Hampton, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
McDonough won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pace Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 27th. Pace Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Hampton, they will head out on the road to take on Mt. Zion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
