Despite the loss, Centennial Baptist saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leilani Malepeai had nine kills, five aces, three digs, and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Oostra, who had seven kills, three digs, three blocks, and two aces.
Centennial Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Gem State Adventist Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
Gem State Adventist Academy came up short against Centennial Baptist in their previous matchup on September 9th, falling 3-1.
