Sophie Chasteen and Gracyn Schreel certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Chasteen posted eight points in addition to five rebounds and four steals, while Schreel put up ten points along with six boards and three steals. Chasteen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season.
Even though they lost, Greenville Tech Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Liberty's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kameria Paul, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 11 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Henderson, who had four points and nine rebounds.
Greenville Tech Charter's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Liberty, they moved to 1-6 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.
