Baseball Recap: Aaron Stewart Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Northeastern

First Flight won against Fredericksburg Christian last Saturday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The First Flight Nighthawks beat the Northeastern Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-6. Considering the Nighthawks have won three matches by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

First Flight got a massive performance out of Aaron Stewart, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Stewart has posted since back in March of 2024. Fionn Reilly also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Stewart wasn't the only one working in the hit department: First Flight kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

First Flight's record now sits at 3-1. As for Northeastern, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, First Flight will head out to challenge Bear Grass Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northeastern, they will challenge First Flight at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
