The Cupertino Pioneers waltzed into their contest on Thursday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They really took it to Lynbrook for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-32 win at home. With Cupertino ahead 37-11 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Cupertino had a senior duo take command as Max Lin went 7 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 1 assist and Max Feldan scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Lin scored 15 or more points. Justin Yu was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Cupertino's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1. As for Lynbrook, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Saratoga the next time they take the court. Cupertino will head out to face Saratoga at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Lynbrook will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
