The Purchase Line Red Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 11th straight defeat. They were outmatched by Homer-Center on the road and fell 67-36. Purchase Line has struggled against the Wildcats recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Purchase Line lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jakob Mountain, who scored nine points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Small, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Purchase Line struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They are winless (0-8) when they just don't pass the ball.
Purchase Line's loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Homer-Center, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.
Purchase Line does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Homer-Center will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Chucks at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th.
