In what's become a running theme this season, the Seven Rivers Christian Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They breezed by First Academy on the road to the tune of 69-15. Winning may never get old, but Seven Rivers Christian sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seven Rivers Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zoey Houle, who scored 19 points along with nine assists and seven steals. That's the first time this season that Houle posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jurisah Bailey, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and six steals.
When it comes to explaining why First Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Molly Beliveau. Despite the final result, she scored four points along with eight rebounds. Beliveau hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
Seven Rivers Christian's victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for First Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seven Rivers Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lakeside Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Lakeside Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 526th, while Seven Rivers Christian is ranked 186th). As for First Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Mary Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
