The Eastside Tigers and the Parkland Trojans will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Eastside comes in on three and Parkland on four.
Eastside has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 31 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Seneca 78-47 on the road. Given Eastside's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Seneca is ranked 166th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Eastside had a senior duo take command as Jahaan Green scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and five steals and Jalen Long scored 18 points along with five assists. The match was Green's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mahdee Mcnair, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Parkland earned a 62-54 win over Northampton on Friday. 62 seems to be a good number for Parkland as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Eastside's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Parkland, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
