After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Poly Prep Country Day, Tottenville was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Lincoln Railsplitters with a sharp 8-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Tottenville is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Tottenville will face off against Grand Street Campus at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincoln, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-1 victory against Van Arsdale on the 2nd.
