The St. David Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, St. David put up the most points they have all season on Wednesday. They blew past Baboquivari 15-4. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Owen Judd made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Merrill, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Clark Wilson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, St. Augustine Catholic can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. Everything went their way against Santa Rita as St. Augustine Catholic made off with a 19-2 win. With that victory, the Wolves brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Jonny Samaneigo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, St. Augustine Catholic let Alex Martinez and Sergio Cordova run wild. Martinez went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run, while Cordova scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Gabriel Dominguez was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
St. David's record is now 3-4-1. As for St. Augustine Catholic, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-8.
Everything went St. David's way against St. Augustine Catholic in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, as St. David made off with a 12-2 victory.
