LaBelle is 0-4 against Avon Park since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls will head out on the road to face off against the Avon Park Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. LaBelle is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, LaBelle came up short against St. Petersburg Catholic and fell 23-13.
Despite the defeat, LaBelle got a solid performance out of Darian Robinson, who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Avon Park, who are still winless after their seventh match. They took a serious blow against Hardee on Friday, falling 54-13. Avon Park was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-7.
Jeran Jones put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 108 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The losses dropped LaBelle to 5-2 and Avon Park to 0-7.
