The Frisco Raccoons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 42-24 to Wakeland. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Frisco in their matchups with Wakeland: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Frisco saw an underclassman step up: Cobyn Harbert threw for 214 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes.
Wakeland's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Cooper Snyder and his two sacks.
Frisco's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Wakeland, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Frisco will head out on the road to face off against Richland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Richland's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last eight matchups. As for Wakeland, they will take on Mansfield Timberview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Zuric Humes and Brennan Myer.
