Volleyball Game Preview: Haynes Academy vs. Frederick A. Douglass Bobcats

For the first time this season, Haynes Academy will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Frederick A. Douglass Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Haynes Academy has four straight wins, Frederick A. Douglass has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

If Riverside Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Haynes Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Ella Feehan. Haynes Academy walked away with a 3-1 victory over Riverside Academy on Thursday thanks in part to Feehan, who had 27 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Haynes Academy was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-11, 21-25, 25-17, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Frederick A. Douglass came up short against John Ehret on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Haynes Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Frederick A. Douglass, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
