While Milan couldn't quite beat Jac-Cen-Del last Saturday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 24-point loss they were dealt last Wednesday. Milan fell just short of Jac-Cen-Del by a score of 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Milan has suffered yet this season.
Meanwhile, Triton Central earned a 43-36 victory over Morristown on Saturday. Given Triton Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Morristown is ranked 404th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Triton Central can attribute much of their success to Eli Sego, who scored 12 points along with six steals, and Silas Blair, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Sego is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Taggart Goul was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Milan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Triton Central, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.
