After a string of three wins, the Life Prep Fire's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a rough 58-37 defeat at the hands of North Kansas City. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Life Prep has suffered yet this season.
Life Prep lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Arthur Videira, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yarek "Determine" Russell, who scored eight points.
Life Prep's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3. As for North Kansas City, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Life Prep on the road again on January 26th and play against Moravian Prep at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Moravian Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Life Prep in their respective states (Moravian Prep is ranked first in North Carolina, while Life Prep is ranked 37th in Kansas). As for North Kansas City, they will take on Shawnee Mission Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
