Baseball Recap: Pasco Drops Highest Score of Season Against Gulf

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pasco). They never let the Gulf Buccaneers get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now won six in a row.

Jayce Rollins was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Vincent Aguilar also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Rollins wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Pasco kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.

Pasco's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Gulf, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pasco will welcome Anclote at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Anclote has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.29 runs per game on average), something Pasco will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Gulf, they will host Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
