Kokomo's last matchup with Logansport could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. The Wildkats lost 12-2 to the Berries. Meanwhile, Noblesville faced Hamilton Southeastern in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Millers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Royals a 1-0 shutout. At the plate, Noblesville's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Reese Newsom, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Noblesville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Kokomo hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Noblesville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
