The Milken Wildcats will take on the Beverly Hills Normans at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Milken has three straight victories, Beverly Hills has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Milken not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19, 2024. Everything went their way against Faith Baptist as Milken made off with an 11-4 win. With that victory, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Dane Silverman made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
In other pitching news, Aidan Pereg looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

Back at the plate, Jonah Herschko was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Five bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Benjamin Bedil, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Beverly Hills scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Leuzinger, falling 14-8.
Asher Miller was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.
At the plate, Cameron Park made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Ibarra, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Milken pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Beverly Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1.
Beverly Hills' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Milken hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. It's a different story for Beverly Hills, though, as they've only averaged .211. Will they be able to contain Milken's hitters?
Milken took their victory against Beverly Hills in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2. Will Milken repeat their success, or does Beverly Hills have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
