It was a good run, but the Zionsville Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of North Central by a score of 58-55. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Zionsville came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while North Central is ranked 117th).
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Haan, who scored 14 points. Zionsville's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4. As for North Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zionsville will take on Noblesville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
