It was fun while it lasted, but Marquette's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Monday. They fell 61-50 to the De Smet Jesuit Spartans. The loss was the Mustangs' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Marquette fell to 3-1. As for De Smet Jesuit, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Marquette will welcome Howell Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marquette is facing Howell Central at the right time seeing as Howell Central is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for De Smet Jesuit, they will square off against Moline at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Moline knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 contests -- so hopefully De Smet Jesuit likes a good challenge.
