It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Kennedy Eagles can now relate to. They were outmatched by St. Vincent de Paul on the road and fell 56-12. Kennedy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-6.
St. Vincent de Paul's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabe Casanovas, who threw for 129 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Jack Davis also helped out with an impressive 86 receiving yards.
Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for St. Vincent de Paul, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
Kennedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Vincent de Paul will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Fortuna at 1:00 p.m. Fortuna is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
