After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Webster Schroeder, Victor was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Hilton Cadets 15-3. Considering the Blue Devils have won four games by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Ellie Renkie made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Victor got a massive performance out of Alexah Loeser, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Loeser has posted since back in March. Kenadee Comstock was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.
Victor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
The victory got Victor back to even at 6-6. As for Hilton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
Looking ahead, Victor will head out to take on Brockport at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hilton, they will host Webster Thomas at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
